    Surgery

    We perform surgical procedures Monday through Friday by appointment only.  

    Here is a list of some of our most commonly performed surgical procedures.  

    Elective

    • spay/neuter (animal must be 6 months old)
    • tail docking and dewclaw removal (must be under 7 days old)
    • declawing

    Orthopedic

    • fracture repair
    • cruciate ligament repair
    • luxating patella repair

    Soft tissue

    • mass removal 
    • abdominal surgery
    • laceration repair

    All surgeries receive a pre-surgical examination, pre and post-operative pain medications, intraoperative monitoring and optional pre-anesthetic bloodwork. Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is highly recommened for all patients to insure they are healthy enough to undergo anesthesia; in some cases pre-anesthetic bloodwork will be required.

    A current rabies vaccination is required for all surgical procedures.

    Dental Procedures

    • teeth cleaning and polishing

    • dental x-rays

    Dental procedures are considered surgical procedures because the animal must be placed under anesthesia.

    Boarding facilities

    • We offer in house boarding for dogs and cats when there is available space in our kennel area. All animals are required to be current on all vaccinations. Please contact us for more information on our boarding facilities.

    Our hospital carries a full line of heartworm medications, dewormer, and flea/tick prevention as well as Science Diet and Iams foods for dogs and cats.
